Sanjoy Majumdar, a name synonymous with innovation, literary excellence, creativity, spirituality, and entrepreneurial spirit. Embarked on his remarkable journey on January 1st, 1983, in the serene confines of Sandwip, Chattogram, Bangladesh. A visionary figure reshaping the literary landscape of the nation, one page at a time.

He Raised in a household steeped in diverse influences, with his father, Dulal Chandra Majumdar, a shrewd businessman, and his mother, Laksmi Rani Majumdar, a compassionate gynecologist, Sanjoy imbibed the values of resilience and empathy from an early age.

Sanjoy’s academic pursuit led him to the corridors of Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology in Dhaka, where he delved deep into the realms of Graphic Design and Multimedia. Emerging as a proficient Multimedia Professional, he honed his skills in visual storytelling and digital communication, laying the foundation for his future endeavors.

However, in 2006, Sanjoy felt the pull towards a different path—one that would allow him to channel his love for literature and storytelling into something tangible. Thus, “Murdhonno” was born—a publishing venture that would soon become synonymous with literary excellence and cultural enrichment.

Under Sanjoy’s visionary leadership, Murdhonno flourished, publishing over 500 books spanning a myriad of genres. Notably, on the 150th birth anniversary of Nobel laureate writer Rabindranath Tagore in 2011, Murdhonno launched the groundbreaking “Rabindra-Smarak Granthmala,” a 151-book series celebrating Tagore’s enduring legacy and influence on Bengali literature.

On March 2022, Sanjoy embarked on a journey of self-discovery and inner peace, learning the Transcendental Meditation (TM)Technique. This transformative practice not only brought clarity and focus to Sanjoy’s life but also infused Murdhonno with renewed energy and direction, paving the way for even greater success.

Sanjoy’s commitment to fostering literary discourse and cultural exchange led him to actively participate in numerous book fairs and literary festivals across Bangladesh and India. Specially his involvement in the “10000 For World Peace Program” in Hyderabad, India, from December 29th, 2023, to January 13th, 2024, further underscored his dedication to promoting harmony and unity through the power of literature and collective meditation.

Despite his busy schedule, Sanjoy remains deeply rooted in his commitment to community service and social responsibility. He actively supports initiatives aimed at promoting literacy, education, and holistic well-being, recognizing the transformative potential of literature to inspire positive change and foster empathy and understanding.

Today, Murdhonno stands as a testament to Sanjoy Majumdar’s unwavering vision and dedication—a beacon of literary excellence that continues to enrich the cultural fabric of Bangladesh and beyond.
